Around the Columns

Rock around the clock

About 300 Mizzou students danced for 12 hours nonstop on Saturday — with no breaks and no caffeine. The Dance Marathon, held March 12 at the Student Recreation Complex, raised $47,049 for the hematology/oncology division at the University of Missouri Children’s Hospital. Each participant raised at least $100 to “dance for kids who can’t.” DJs, competitions and games kept the dancers entertained, and visits from the hospital’s patients kept them inspired.
