Mizzou's spirit leaders

It takes more than pigskin to generate the game day atmosphere at Memorial Stadium. The high-flying stunts of the cheerleaders, traditional songs of Marching Mizzou, silly antics of Truman the Tiger, booming of Big MO, baton tosses of twirlers and dance routines of the Golden Girls all add to the event’s pageantry and fans’ enthusiasm.

There’s no doubt that spirit squads, including cheerleaders, dancers, mascots, twirlers and bands, help make Homecoming memorable. Alumni spirit leaders from across the decades recall their on-field performances, uniforms, favorite Homecoming traditions and more. Many return to campus each year to perform with alumni groups during Homecoming pregame and reconnect with old classmates.
