Homecoming marches on

A timeline of highlights

Over the course of a century, Homecoming has changed as much as it has stayed the same. Although it’s still a time to return to campus and reconnect with old friends and traditions, the passing generations have figured out new ways of doing things. Horse-drawn parade floats have given way to gasoline-powered locomotion, all-school dances have gone the way of bobby socks, and even football coach Don Faurot’s legendary Split-T formation has long since been reconfigured for the modern game. Check out this timeline of a century of Homecoming highlights.
